HTC CEO Admits Wrong Strategy

HTC CEO Peter Chou acknowledges the problems in his company, which led to its strategy in the smartphone market is not working. But he hopes this situation will gradually recover.

Although HTC and One X One S is quite successful and steal the show, but two flagship smartphone the HTC unable to boost performance in this year as a whole.

HTC's financial statements in the second quarter showed a 26.8 percent decline from the same period last year. And this situation seems not to be improved in the third quarter.

Chou also said HTC have problems in executing a number of strategies. "We agreed to do something, but do not do it. In other words, the execution failed," he said.

To restore the condition of the company, Chou urged all his men to focus on the HTC brand One with a clear intention and not tangled bureaucracy. Chou believes they are given the responsibility to talk about this more, but without producing decisions, strategic direction, or sense of urgency.

"I hope we can improve communication within the company," he said. However, Chou expressed his company's financial condition is still running fine.
