Business Networks, Ericsson to Challenger Strong of China


Ericsson claimed itself as a manufacturer of telecommunications network equipment market share in Indonesia and the world. However, Ericsson is aware of the fierce competition from the Chinese manufacturers are aggressively offering competitive prices.

"In terms of costs, strong competition coming from China," said Hans Vestberg CEO of Ericsson Group during a visit to Jakarta, Thursday (14/09/2012).

"But this is the competition. Fact seems strange in the telecommunications industry there is no competition, we just harder to make differentiation," he added.

Vestberg is confident that Ericsson can survive, and continue to dominate the market with the technology and services offered. Ericsson also put huge investment in payer systems, software and solutions.

"We are one of the companies that will still last ten years later," said Vestberg.

He claims, Ericsson is still ranked first, which stood at 60% global market share. This amount is more than double the market share held by producers in second.

Ericsson has been present in Indonesia for more than 100 years. Currently, Ericsson Indonesia led by Sam Saba, who served as President of Ericsson Indonesia since February 1, 2012.
