Galaxy S Duos supports 3G networks with HSPA


Samsung has announced the latest model of the Galaxy S and Galaxy Y Duos Duos Lite for the Indian market. Both models were also released to the global market with the name of the model Galaxy S and Galaxy S7562 Duos Duos S5302 Pocket, reported by GSMArena page on Sunday (09.09.12).

Galaxy S Duos is a dual-SIM smartphone droid latest generation of Samsung that run the processor with a speed of 1GHz ARM Cortex-A5 with Adreno 200 GPU, a 4-inch WVGA TFT touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera that can record video with VGA resolution, 768 MB RAM and 4 GB of internal memory.

Galaxy S Duos 3G network with HSPA support on both SIM-cardnya, but you can not do two simultaneous data connection. In addition there are features Smart Dual SIM which allows you to make calls from one SIM-card while the other card is active.

Mobile OS used is Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich. But unfortunately the dual-SIM handsets are not using SuperAMOLED screen like the original version and just use a regular LCD screen. Samsung Galaxy S Duos marketed for the Indian market with a tag of 17,900 rupees, or about USD 3.1 million. Those prices are occupied by segments such as HTC Desire V.

While the Galaxy Y Duos Lite is an Indian version of Pocket Duos Galaxy models are equipped with a screen measuring 2.8 inch QVGA capacitive touchscreen, 832 MHz processor, 2 megapixel camera, 32 GB internal memory and a slot that only supports main 3G connection. Used mobile OS is quite old Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread. Galaxy Y Duos Lite priced at 6990 rupees or approximately USD 1.2 million.
