Google Earth Mother & Child arrange a meeting of 25 Years Apart

India - A man from India was reunited with his mother after 25 years apart. He was aided by a map service from Google, Google Earth.

Twenty-five years ago, a man named Saroo Brierly was traveling by train. He fell asleep and the train was running in the wrong direction. When awake, she was already in place so far, which does not recognize.

At that time, Saroo was five years old. He's trying to reinvent their homes a long time, but failed. In foreign places, Saroo had experienced various adverse events, such as nearly drowning in a river or nearly kidnapped.

Fortunately, Saroo then accommodated by an NGO. Later, he was adopted by a couple from Australia who took him to the Tasmania region.

Now, Sarro aged 30 years and has become quite a successful businessman in Australia. However, he certainly does not forget its origins. He still wanted to return home and find his family.

"I still remember the town where I grew up, where I wandered the streets and face my family, I keep those memories," said Saroo who quoted from DailyMail, Tuesday (20/02/2012).

Saroo began to find his family, among others, with the help of Google Earth, free maps and a complete service from Google. "I spent hours and hours to find something that I might recognize," he said.

Finally, he found an area that fits perfectly with his childhood memories. That is a village called Ganesh Talai. He also flew there. It is true, in the village where he used to live.

Saroo was reunited with his mother, Kamla, and his brother, Kallu. His family claimed he was trying to find, but it does not work. Thanks to Google Earth, they can meet again. With his success, Saroo it also can help families who still live in poverty.
